About me

Pionnière dans le sang, Sophie plonge dans le monde interactif en 1998, alors qu’elle fonde une des premières agences digitales au Canada: Blue (whynotblue.com). Aimant particulièrement faire des liens entre les activités du monde réel et les médias en ligne, et connaissant parfaitement les bienfaits du yoga sur l’esprit et le corps, l’idée de YogaTribes lui est initialement venue en 2011. Estimant que l'industrie de yoga - bien qu’en plein essor - n’était pas encore prête pour une plate-forme de partage, elle passe alors près de trois ans à mettre au point le prototype, discutant avec les enseignants de yoga de leur carrière et analysant les opportunités d'affaires.

A true pioneer, Sophie took her initial plunge into the interactive world back in 1998 when she founded one of Canada’s first digital agencies, Blue (whynotblue.com). As someone who loves the challenges of bridging real-world activities with online media and is keenly aware of the benefits of yoga for mind and body, Sophie originally came up with the idea for YogaTribes back in 2011. Theorizing that the burgeoning yoga industry still wasn’t ready for a sharing platform, she spent nearly three years building prototypes, speaking to yoga teachers about their careers, and analyzing the business opportunity.
