Situated in the heart of the Mile End area, in Ville St-Laurent, Pointe-Claire and Brossard, the Montreal Art of Living provides opportunities for the Montreal community to come together in a spirit of sharing and service. We hold regular community activities such as yoga and meditation classes, vegetarian cooking classes, breathing workshops where we teach the powerful Sudarshan Kriya technique as well as many other special events such as our annual Yogathon in support of Care for Children.

Mission
The Art of Living Foundation is the world's largest not-for-profit volunteer-based NGO and is active in over 150 countries. The Foundation's mission is to promote world peace through service projects and inner peace through personal development programs that help individuals improve the quality of their lives. The Foundation has over 10,000 teachers worldwide dedicated to sharing the age old disciplines of yoga and meditation in their communities.
 
Philosophy
Founded in 1981 by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the Art of Living Foundation's programs are guided by Sri Sri’s philosophy of peace: “Unless we have a stress-free mind and a violence-free society, we cannot achieve world peace.” To help individuals get rid of stress and experience inner peace, Art of Living offers stress-elimination programs that include breathing techniques, meditation and yoga. These programs have helped millions around the world to overcome stress, depression and violent tendencies.

Projects
The Art of Living Foundation has spread peace across communities through diverse humanitarian projects, including conflict resolution, disaster relief, sustainable rural development, empowerment of women, prisoner rehabilitation, education for all, and environmental sustainability.
