About the Class
A physical, ethical, and spiritual practice, combining a vigorous hatha yoga, vinyasa-based physical style with adherence to five central tenets: shastra (scripture), bhakti (devotion), ahimsa (non-violence, non-harming), nāda (music), and dhyana (meditation). It was derived from Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga by David Life and Sharon Gannon in 1984. Classes often promote environmentalism, animal rights, and veganism.

With a background in hip hop dance and competitive sport aerobics, Frances first began practicing yoga in 2006 when she started working for lululemon athletica.
